The significantly revised interior complements the airy feeling afforded by the standard Panoramic Fixed-glass Vista Roof.The 2013 Lincoln MKT offers three rows of seating configured in six- and seven-passenger alternatives. Highlighting the emphasis on first-class travel, those riding in the second row enjoy more legroom than any vehicle in this class. The second-row seats can also be heated and cooled. The second-row refrigerator (integrated into the center console) remains a popular option.
Lincoln's large crossover, the MKT, gets a number of updates for 2013. Besides the visual alterations, which include a reshaped grille and redesigned dashboard, the three-row crossover gets a more powerful base V-6, optional adaptive suspension and other hardware upgrades. More dramatic changes lay inside, where the MKT gets Lincoln latest touch-screen controls.
The MKT roster of techno doo-dads grows a bit longer for 2013, with the large Lincoln gaining a lane-keeping assist system and an updated version of MyLincoln Touch. Lane Keeping Alert and Aid—which, thankfully, can be disabled—vibrates the steering wheel to warn drivers when they’re leaving their lane without signaling. Should they continue down this self-destructive path, it uses the Lincoln MKT electric power steering to gently tug the vehicle back toward the center of its lane. MyLincoln is standard across the MKT range, and receives the same updates the MyFord Touch interface receives for 2013. Like in the MKX, the MKT’s volume and fan-speed are now controlled by touch-sensitive slider controls.
